Bread Art Project

Tami Finley shared the following information:

Here's one to add to your list of sites - fun and beneficial! Might be great for older kids, teens and adults! It was listed in this month's SLJ.-- School Library Journal, 4/1/2009

The Grain Foods Foundation has created the Bread Art Project to bring attention to the increasing problem of hunger in the United States. Visitors to the Web site are invited to create “bread art,” and for each creation submitted, the foundation will add another $1 to its $50,000 donation. The education library at the Bread Art Project Web site also has resources covering the topics of nutrition and hunger in America. http://www.breadartproject.com/

Liverpool Street Subway Dance

THIS IS SO COOL!
This commercial was shot at the Liverpool Street Subway Station in London 5 weeks ago (Jan 15, 09). Only the dancers knew what was happening; the general public didn't have a clue what was about to unfold. This You tube site has had over 3 million hits in less than a month's time.

Hmmm... will you include an impromptu dance in your summer reading program?!!
